It is recommended a power supply of adequate power:

A good power supply is linked to the quality of the audio delivered by the speakers that you connect.

If the power supply fails to stay "behind" the speakers, you may have a slightly distorted sound, especially if the speakers are 8-10 cm in size. For example, if the speakers are 2-3 inches, a 12V power supply with 1A power can also be used.
